Neenah Fun Run - Liam's first race

Neenah has a series of five races in the summer for the kids called Fun Runs.  Liam was a little young last year so this was our first experience. The plan was for Brad to run with Liam as I was a little worried on how he would do and handle the new experience. At the last minute, after Liam clearly stated he wanted to run by himself, Brad took himself out. I panicked. Majorly! To the point that I ran after him and then met him at the finish line thinking "he needs me," He was just fine! In fact he was better than fine. He loved it. He was so proud of himself. He literally glowed.  And I couldn't be any prouder too. (maybe even slightly sad that he is getting older and more and more independent. tear)

First fun run complete and many more to come!

Coming in 35th place out of 120 boys, ages 6 and under.

 So proud of these two!

While in Ohio...

Our weeks in Ohio are generally filled with visiting family and friends. We don't expect everyone to drop their plans while we are in town but everyone usually does and makes us their number 1 priority. We always leave Ohio feeling extremely blessed and loved AND already anticipating our next trip 'home'.

Liam's favorite part of every day, hanging out with Mason and Austin

We got to meet Brayson and Brantley!
And Mommy was asked to be Brayson's Godmother :)

Liam's 4th Birthday

Liam had two requests for his birthday. 1) To have a Team Umizoomi party and 2) to have the party in Ohio. These two things were very much set in his mind and it just so happened that we had a break in activites for two weeks during his birthday, which made his two wishes possible.

But first, we couldn't leave Neenah without celebrating with his best friend, Ryan. Liam, Brad, Ryan and his dad headed for a day out at the ballpark.

When the boys came home, Brad had a special surprise waiting for Liam.

Team Umizoomi party in Ohio. What more could a 4 year old want?!
When Liam won't get in a picture, Cal will always, gladly take his place
The Birthday Boy finally arrived!

Happy Birthday Liam. You have brought so much joy to our lives. Your smile, character, sensitivity, compassion and personality makes each day brighter and better. You melt our hearts.
