Wisconsin Dells

Last summer Brad and I took the boys to the Wilderness in Wisconsin Dells for a night and one night just wasn't enough. We have been eager to get back and since we weren't able to celebrate Cal's birthday in Ohio, we thought it was the perfect time to revisit. For two nights. And two nights still wasn't enough. Liam has been asking to go back to the "bestest hotel in the whole world." I kinda have to agree with him. Not becuase the hotel was that special, but because of the absolute joy on Liam and Cal's faces the entire stay. Priceless.

The wave pool was by far the highlight of the trip. For everyone!

Liam and I got burnt. Cal managed to stay cool.

Snow Day

It has finally warmed up enough to get outside! I forgot how much fun it is to walk down the street and have instant play dates. The kids had a blast being amongst friends.

Liam came home needing a break. It is rough being 3!

Cal's 2nd Birthday

Our sweet baby boy is TWO!

Some days I feel there are no words to describe all that he has brought to our lives and other days I have 2,000! He lights up our world, brings meaning to the simplest things and fills us up with such joy and happiness. So today, we celebrate Cal. Although we miss our family and friends dearly, I know this is exactly the way Cal wants it. Simple and just us four.

Liam decided to decorate Cal's presents with balloons.

Present time!
Liam was a BIG helper

I forgot to mention that Cal was so excited for his birthday that he woke up at 4:30 ready to get the party started! (He went back to bed a few hours later and then slept another three hours during the day, still waking up exhausted, right up until the cake showed up!)

A little elefun. Brad and I absolutely adored watching these two play with their new toy!
(sorry for the picture overload, it was just to darn cute)

And it isn't a birthday unless there's balloons!

The next day, we invited the neighborhood kids over to join us for cupcakes.

Luckily, the festivities will continue through the weekend as we head to the Dell's for one last celebration before life as a two year old officially begins...
